Has legend Iggy Pop chosen Elite Music Studios as his favorite studio in Miami?

Again, during the months of June, July and August of this year we had the presence of the great legend, American rock singer and song writer, Iggy Pop.

Iggy used to be the vocalist of The Stooges. He became known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics during the 1960´s rock era. (more info here: http://www.iggypop.com/index.html)

Since Iggy Pop made over 30 programs that were recorded at Elite Music Studios for BBC Radio 6 Music (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03yblbx), Iggy Pop has come back to our studio for more projects such as a recording session for Walt Whitman’s Children of Adam (http://whitmanarchive.org/published/LG/1891/poems/28) and a commercial for Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum (https://sailorjerry.com/en/)

We hope to continue to be his favorite studio in Miami since he is a very fun person to be around!

Monday VO Tips!

LogoOyemeStarting today, we will give you a tip about the art of Voice Over acting every Monday morning!

This is our first VO Tip!

This is a simple way to determine the difference between a simple “voice-over” and a “voice-acting” performance

A Voice-over performance meet one or more of the following:

1) It sounds like you a reading a script.

2) The objective is to “sell” something.

3) The content tends to be loaded with information and no emotional content.

4) The effect of the message is to create “listener tune-out”.

A Voice-Acting performance has ALL of the following characteristics:

1) A character is created and the performer created the feeling of a conversation.

2) The objective is to “tell a story” so the listener relates in an emotional level and to keep the listeners attention.

3) The message is emotional and has a focus.
